One last hurrah

After our castle day, Elizabeth and I got back into Munich and got refreshed in headed out for our last night in a German beer hall. We went to 2 different breweries before accepting it was Easter Monday and if we wanted to go to a beer hall and not be the only ones there, we should hit up our beloved Hofsbraus (aka tourist central.) We enjoyed us some big pretzels and beer and had ourselves our usual fun time.

We had to wake up early for a 9 am train to Prague, but luckily we got on the train early and were able to get a 6 person little cabin with a door. We laid out on our 3 seats each and got to sleep our way through the 5 hour ride. At one point, some creepy looking guy tried to come into our cabin and Elizabeth started yelling at him to get out. It might have been a slight overreaction on Elizabeth's part, but it did the trick because he didn't return after craycray got through with him.

Our favorite part of the day was arriving into Prague. We got out of the train station and aimlessly searched for the road we needed. 15 minutes later when we were finally on the right road, my back was already hurting from my overpacked backpack, I was thirsty, hungry, sweaty, and I had to pee. We then could not find the next road we needed and spent another 20 minutes walking down the wrong roads and then realizing we were supposed to be going uphill another road. So after the uphill hike with a 12 kilo bag, we somehow made a couple turns and ended up on the right road (despite not being able to find any of the roads we were supposed to.) Luckily, Elizabeth had booked an adorable modern hotel and so we were happy to be greeted with an awesome room. We then devoured a Swiss chocolate bar that we had planned to bring back for family/friends.

Elizabeth and I both had kept our cool and not even given up to rest or hop in a cab, despite lugging cinder blocks around town.

Here's a picture of the national museum - to keep you on your toes!
